The Spaniard
I like Montesas, my first proper bike was a 1972 Cota when I was 13. Ive had this '76 Montesa Cota 247 for about 12 years now, I ran it in standard trim for a while, had a trials sidecar on it for a while and had some greaat fun on it out on the hills and up in the woods over the years. About 7 or 8 years ago I took the fiberglass tank seat unit off it and had the alloy undertank modified so it was a secure fit, the seat is a Wassell universal trials one fitted to a seatbase from a '70s Bultaco. The motor is strong, it can be a bit tempremental sometimes but a pocketfull of sparkplugs and some fresh petrol usually gets the fun started!!

All you need is a little corner
Somewhere to retreat to when you get a little spare time. A shed, a garage, a corner of the boxroom, the understair cupboard! Its amazing what you can get done if you have somewhere to work 8-)
