Whats it all about ?????

Over 30 years of buying, breaking, building, cutting, welding, riding and selling greasy old mo'sickles. Bare bones bikes from the middle of nowhere!

Back In Black

BlackBob got taken over to Colin and David at Loch Ness Restorations last year to get a proper make over. I make no excuses I have never been much good at making bikes really shine. I tend to get them looking half decent and really concentrate on making them go, handle and stop well, after that it's time to hit the road.

To cut a short story long .. Ten years ago on my 40th birthday I bought the rolling chassis from Pete Stansfield @eattherich I built BlackBob up in the old filling station at the head of Strathbran in Achnasheen that I owned at the time (still do).. When I had completed the dry build the bike went to Colin Craig to get the motor commissioned in exchange for a Bultaco trials bike for his son David's first bike. Ten years on David is a trained bike mechanic and in partnership with his dad and uncle running Loch Ness Restorations.
A wheel build with new 17" alloy rims and supermoto tyres, powder paint and a lot of detailing work by David has given BlackBob a real show finish.
