Indian Junior Scout Stroker

Have a lot of parts left over from the Sprt Scout build, and a Junior Scout frame I got from a mate darn sarf so it was starting to look like I might have enough Scout bits to get another special together.
A complete bottom end from a fella in Cornwall
A phone call to another Scout builder sorted me a pair of cylinders
Tanks from the ex Desperate Dan Bella 741 chop
a 4 speed rigid type Triumph box
cut down front guard from a Triumph Cub
seat from a Francis Barnett

and it starts to come together

1938 Indian Scout Ad

Picked up a nice wee Triumph TR25W with some T140 bits, rewired the ignition, cleaned out the carb, and it fired up with a wee push, crackin 8-)

today it went to a new home, and this piece of 1980's custom history took its place in the lock up

Barn Bilt Hack

This is my old Dnepr Cossack hack, I found it under a tarpaulin on a Highland estate about 5 years ago, tracked down the owner and made him an offer, a couple of hours of tinkering and a charged battery and it was on the road with an MOT 8-)

Over the last few years it has been used and abused all year round to haul stuff around the Black Isle, everything from fence posts and bales of hay to mountain bikes and the kids have been delivered in style.last winter I decided to pull it apart and give it a makeover, it had to be a low budget affair cos I'm always skint in the winter, so using only bits I had lying about the shed and what was/is to hand at the farm where I keep it I have been trimming some weight and gradually making it a bit more suitable for the offroad riding I tend t do with it.

The only money spent has been on a Mikuni conversion to try and cure the leaky carb problem inherent with the Russian made carbs.

Snortin Norton

Having a rest after a bit of fun on the farm, heres my 1958 Norton Dommie Scrambler/Desert Racer (aint no deserts here tho!!!!)

more pics ('scuse the legs, its summer, lol) http://s233.photobucket.com/albums/ee71/steveplowman/the%20great%20escape/

JAP single .... I feel a vintage special coming on!!!

I got hold of this 1929 twin port OHV JAP motor as part of a deal with some Triumph parts, after doing a bit of Google homework and making a couple of calls to Cameron Racing Engines, I now know that its a 1929 350cc Sports single. Ive managed to get hold of a late 1920's Chater Lea frame, from a sports single so the plan is to gather the bits together to build a vintage racer/sprinter.

Black Bob's new stable mate

Just aquired this '67 T120R race bike, the motor was put together in the states for road racing then never raced, needs an inlet manifold, carb and an oil tank sorted out and should be good to go!

Whats up!!!

Forgot all about the Diary, lol, back here so I beeter bring it up to date. Black Bob went back together, again, with new push rods, valves and collars, has been run in nice n gentle (yeah right!!) and is pulling strong. Still needs a bit of fettling with the Mikuni but seems to be running happily enough.
