Whats it all about ?????
Over 30 years of buying, breaking, building, cutting, welding, riding and selling greasy old mo'sickles. Bare bones bikes from the middle of nowhere!

BlackBob goes for a tune up
Ive been a bit unhappy with BlackBob's performance lately, theres a real flatspot in the midrange and I reckoned the motor was running way too lean. Tonight we paid a visit to Chap Middleton at Highland Motorcycle Dynos, a few runs on the bench a change of main jet from a 120 to a 134 and lifted the needle one notch - what a difference! 8-)
Kinda weird watching your bike doing 85mph on a bench, max power shown at the back wheel so far is 33bhp

Big Healey's on the prowl
Ive always wanted a big Healey, peferably a 3000 BJ8 or an early BN4. Yeasterday a couple of 3000's pulled up outside the shop just as we were closing up, they were taking part in the "Chase the Haggis" highland tour. My son Angus took a couple of pics of this tidy mid sixties 3000 on the way home. Not bad pic considering we were hitting 90+ to catch up!

Everyone's gettin all het up about bobbers
So in order to put things straight, I'm just going to say that IN MY OPINION if its Japanese, if its got disc brakes, if the original bike was built after 1959 or if it uses a new built frame. It aint a bobber - might be a Technobob tho ;-D
BlackBob is a Technobob - inspired by traditional bobbers but uses modern kit to make it go and stop better!
And so is this carbon fibre equipped Scout

We did find that it runs lean on one cylinder and rich on the other, being single carb we had to settle with somewhere in between for both. Chap reckons there may be a fair amount of tuning available by altering exhaust length.
