New Carbs for the Norton

I've always felt the Norton motor was lacking top end, I called Mike at surrey Cycles for a bit of advice, turns out the 600 Dommie motor should have been fitted with either a single or a pair of Monoblocs, mine came with a pair of 926 Concentrics on an aftermarket manifold. He sorted me out with a pair of properly set up 928's to the same specs as the correct Monoblocs, with brass slides fitted, the chokes binned and the pilot holes tapped and blanking screws fitted- to make cleaning the carbs easier. Also supplied a nice pair ofscrew on meshed bellmouths.

Flattrack Friday

28 years ago.........

A 19 year old lad was on his way home from work. Waiting for a bus, cos the Triumph was in bits again.......

Into the paper shop to get out of the rain and there it was. A magazine about bikes that he would ride........ I still have the magazine, I still think Odgie's yellow Triumph is my all time favourite chop!
